Mark Warmka— Senior Vice President

MarkWarmka

Mark has worked at Peoples State Bank since 2003, serving as lead agricultural lending officer and bank Senior Vice President. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Mark has an extensive background in the financial services industry, possessing both investment and insurance licensing and is fully accredited as a crop insurance agent.

A life-long resident of the Easton area, Mark graduated from Delavan High School and earned a degree in Agricultural Production from the University of Minnesota-Waseca and a B.A. degree in Organizational Management from Concordia University-St. Paul. Mark has been active on several community boards including the Faribault County Economic Development Board and the United Hospital Foundation Board, as well as many years in service as a youth athletic coach.

Mark and his wife, Kate, live on and manage the home farm near Easton and Kate works as an elementary teacher in Blue Earth. Their daughter, Amanda, is a Physician Assistant at United Hospital District (UHD) in Blue Earth and daughter, Sara, a recent graduate of Wisconsin-La Crosse, began her teaching career this fall at Fairmont. 


Jim Heckman— Vice President

Jim brings his valuable years of agricultural ledning experience (and great sense of humor) to Peoples State Bank as Vice President. He began building relationships with customers when he joined Paragon Bank 31 years ago. In 2000, Jim took on the role as President and joined the Board of Directors and by December 2011, he was named Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO in March of 2012. 

Jim and his wife, Zoa, a real estate agent with Brad Heggen Realty, have called Wells home since 1986. They have three children, Josh (Sartell, MN), Amber (Newberg, OR) and Jordan(Chippewa Falls, WI) and five grandchildren. He makes sure to find time for hunting and fishing trips whenever he can.

Over the years, he has contributed greatly to the Wells community through volunteer work as the Secretary/Treasurer of Faribault County Local Redevelopment Agency, Wells Chamber of Commerce board memeber, and member of the Wells Community Ambulance Service, with 10 years of service. Jim is member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Wells Lions Club (former President), and the Wells Economic Development Authority Charter member. 


Beth Anderson— Loan Officer

Beth is proud to serve the customers in our local community where she grew up and is raising her family today. Although Beth’s primary lending focus is agricultural and commercial loans, she also enjoys working with consumer loan customers as well.  Driven by a ‘customer first’ commitment, Beth will work with you to find the right fit for your loan needs and personal goals.

Raised on a farm near Walters (daughter of Donn and Mary Slette), Beth graduated from South Central high school, and then went on to earn a degree in Marketing/Communication/Sociology from Bethany Lutheran College and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Anderson is an FSA Certified Lender, and has attended Agricultural Lending and Consumer Lending schools.  Outside of work, Beth serves as a Board of Directors member for both the Wells Area Chamber of Commerce and the Flame Theatre. She is also involved in various community and school activities with her children. 

Beth and husband Darren live in rural Bricelyn, where Darren is a corn and soybean farmer. Anderson’s children Maya and Lauren, identical twins, age 9, and Tommy, age 7, attend school at United South Central Elementary.
